Tips?

Hey Guys, I'm going to be making a texture pack sometime soon and I was wondering if anyone could give me some helpful tips? I'm going to have several different versions of the same texture pack, like Dokucraft has. There's going to be a Fantasy, Ethereal, Demonic and (If I have time) Sci-fi one.
