When is 1.2 coming out?

I tried the latest snapshot and the new AI has got to be my favourite feature. Passive mobs don't constantly jump around like idiots when they're fenced in, although as soon as you open a gate to get to them they'll try to escape almost instantly. The hostile mobs will actually go around fences and walls to get to you, making fighting them a bit more fun. My only complaint is the lengthy amount of time you must wait to get a cat, and the cats make noises too frequently.
I'm not sure exactly how when 1.2 will be released, but I'm guessing it'll be as soon as they fix the bug that's causing the world to generate without any caves.

Random sky cities with loot in, (can only be seen on short+ render distance as is quite high)
Mo creatures to be added to the game, lol
Creeper babbys :3 Which gang up on you but only do half the crater of a normal creeper P
A real use for dirt *SIGH*
A real use for mossy cobble *DOUBLE SIGH*
Etc etc.

Replace minecraft.jar with the .jar snapshot you downloaded.
If its not a .jar:
1.When saving do Save As.
2.Make it "All Files" in the bottom box thing.
3.name it minecraft.jar
4.Replace it with the regular .jar.
This is for windows I don't know how to do it on a MAC.

when the update comes out im going to make a huge ass zoo with cats wolfs and the beasts of the night.
If you want 1.2 snapshot just open the snapshot zip and your 1.1 .jar (If you want 1.1 back keep a backup) and make sure you don't have any mods installed. Then put all the 1.2 files in the minecraft.jar.
Or do whats said above.....
when 1.3 comes out, I want a city life installed in the game, I mean you have villages now,why not cities? where cars are put into the game, furniture you can customize, lol I may be sounding like a sims fan but this is the best idea I can come up with yet ! in multiplayer there could be a option to make apartments or seperate lots, have BETTER beaches, with testificates frolicking in the water or something idk school bus' with little baby testificates going to school not saying you change that so the whole game is changed but make a new mode to it thankyou - Duff Paddy

Yea, but a piston door system would probably work, or you could use a roof entrance with a trapdoor.

still waiting for a way to get cocoa beans in jungles. Also,have you seen the vine covered caves in the jungles, they look great!

you just have to update your minecraft
If you aren't a modder, then I can see why, you need 7-zip or WinRar to use a snapshot. Here are instructions to use a snapshot:
Backup minecraft.jar
Open minecraft.jar BACKUP
Highlight and delete all files in backup minecraft.jar
Highlight all files in the snapshot .zip folder
Move these files into your empty .jar
Move your current .jar into your desktop and rename it Minecraft 1.1
Move the backup into your .minecraft bin and rename it "minecraft"
Remove all 1.1 mod files and place them in your desktop
Open minecraft
Switch txt pack to default.
You should now have a weekly snapshot!
Backup minecraft.jar
Open minecraft.jar BACKUP

Ummm... you can just backup the Minecraft.jar then delete it and put in the snapshot Minecraft.jar then load Minecraft!
That doesnt work, as the snapshot files come in .zips
Whenever I download em they come as .jars but once it came as a .zip but here's how to make it a .jar.
While you're downloading it click save as then select where you want to save it and make it say All Files on bottom bar and on the name of the file name it "minecraft.jar" without the quotes.
