I was wandering around underground in survival, when I started to see the flickers of the top of torches randomly. Its a small thing but it kept happening so if anyone can explain it I would be grateful.

It's because they did some stuff with the torches that messed them up
Just download and install Optifine. It fixed the bug for me.
