You can found wolves only in forest's and taiga (Tundra with Trees)

about the wolves i was just building a sky house and i whet to my bass and right when i got in side i fond a wolves

if you light up a grassy area near your home, let it get dark and let animals spawn, they will come- at least they did for me! oh yeah... you gotta forget about finding them! let them find you =)

Hahaha. I found a wolf (corgi in my texture pack, brightly colour so i don't miss them or mistake for sheep. Painterly is perfect :3 ) in my first 5 mins of making a world. Need bones tho :/ .

You don't need to make a new world. If you see 1.4 (or 1.4_1) wolves will appear. It took me almost 5 hours of gameplay to find my first one. Look in forest/taiga biomes.

I myself can't find a wolf, I have been looking for one over an hour now and still can't find one

Hey, don't try too hard.I looked for an hour or ow and I couldn't find a wolf, so I went back to work and boom, later wolves appeared around my house. They are fairly rare though and spawn in forests and taigas.

are you getting errors or using a cracked client? if you are getting errors, let us know and we might be able to tell you what they mean. If you have not bought the game and are using a cracked account, then you should pony up the ~$20 for the game and feel happy and free. If your ISP cut you off for something silly like the bandwidth you are using running that wicked sick Minecraft server out of your room, you should get a new ISP because it is your lack of internet connection that is not letting you play.

1.3 servers won't work unless the player trying to connect is 1.3. Wolves are known to spawn in forests the most. And onlt in 1.4

Hey do they spawn in a server that was like 1.3? or do I have to make a new one?

I found 2 when I spawned at the beach near a forest. Can't train them until i get bones tho.

No, i found two in a forest, trained them both. But they aren't what i expected, to have to accually make contact with the mob is not great.
