hey everyone, i have a respectable background in programming, art, design & 3d modelling. been feeling creatively bankrupt lately, so i'd like to push something fun and relaxing out. what are some cosy mods (QOL, content, or more) that you haven't found that you'd like to see? i was going to make a bakery mod, but most modpacks either use pam's harvestcraft or farmer's delight which means i'd have to write my mod in the style of an add-on. i'm not really interested in making a mod that relies on another. i'm of course happy to write in some light integration and compatibility with popular mods, but i'd be interested in making something standalone for the time being. i'm excited to hear all of your ideas!

How about peaceful valley. Like a randomly generated village which is different, more calm, cozy. Villagers would dress differently, you could meet new mobs, crops
Bakery can be added to the village, even a baker profession

hmm, this sounds neat! i feel like there are a lot of mods that do this already though :( i googled it real quick and there's a "more villagers" mod that adds new professions with 33 million downloads. maybe it could be a different type of village rather than a villager village haha, like a fox village with burrows and more fox variants or something similar to joosh_7889's Ribbits mod.

in britain we say "cosy" instead of "cozy" :) american english and british english are almost the same but words such as "color", "armor", "analyze" turn into "colour", "armour" and "analyse" respectively.

fully functioning and realistic jet engines, like a GE-90 (used for the boeing 777)
personally, i find the sound of jet engines to be quite soothing and relaxing, so i think it'd be a perfect match for your mod!

I dunno. Maybe tables, chairs and sofas would be nice!

hmm, there are a lot of mods that add those kinds of things though. i want it to be somewhat functional.

Not sure what 'cosy' is in terms of mods…

Assuming it indicates an interest in some sort of "cottage-core" style:

curtains
window boxes/planters (although dirt + trapdoors seems to work for many people)

are two things I don't recall running across….

I don't understand what a picnic mod would be (All I can think of is a mix of textures and models to let one set up a picnic and for that I don't see a purpose beyond aethetics… I would not be interested in such a thing — but would not be surprised if there were a number of people who were.)

my initial idea was:

a picnic basket which can store food. can place it down, crouch + right click to open then right click with an empty hand to take an item. when you pick up the basket and have it in your inventory, baubles slot, or curios slot, it would auto feed depending on your saturation, hunger, health and available food in the basket. players would be able to tweak these settings e.g. "eat as soon as i lose any hunger" or "only eat when i'm down by 2 hearts" or "only eat right before i stop being able to sprint". i imagine there would be two sliders, a health slider and a hunger slider that lets you set the parameters of when it autofeeds you.

this could be expanded by adding more types of baskets or lunchboxes that have custom properties. for example, let's assume there's a lunchbox that is made of end stone and enderpearls. each time this box feeds you, all hostile entities in an undecided radius around you gain the "glowing" effect. this is a throwout idea so don't criticise me too much on this haha.

as i type i realise i'm drifting away from the initial idea, so i suppose a "lunchbox mod" would be more appropriate - similar to the lunchbags & lunchboxes in the slice of life mod but more thought-out. i have yet to see an ongoing forge mod that adds this type of stuff independently rather than being a feature in a larger mod. but i also wouldn't mind adding decorations as well such as drinks glasses which can store pam's harvestcraft and farmer's delight liquids or a cooler to store said liquids. i'm still in the drawing board phase right now, so any ideas or feedback would be appreciated!
