ya i (would) vote forge cuz, like another guy said, you have to download so much stuff and u cant even get fabric to work on a mac (i play on one)
there are specific mods that id like if i had fabric, and i hate how u have to download the specific version of a mod for forge, but like 75% of the forge mods are locked to 1.12.2, but i dunno

Lately, I've been using fabric for some of the performance mods, though I like plenty that are for forge instead too.
I like both equally
i'm not a huge fan of having to download 4 libraries to make one mod work
I'm not a huge fan of having lots of lag with only optifine installed on modern versions.
