First of, stop panicking, be calm
Forge, NeoForge and Fabric are mod loaders
Imagine the game as a farm, the modloaders as the houses to keep the animals and the mods as the animals
Forge is cow house, so the mods must be cows(forge), pigs are not allowed
Fabric are henhouses, so no cows allowed - the loader is rather limited
Neoforge is a pighouse, so only pigs
You cannot mix the animals
So to get a mod that is fabric only, you need to instal fabric.

I personally moved to neoforge, because mcreator supports it more
Also if you want to test your mod in mcreator, on the right upper side, you have a green triangle, press it and a built in client of minecraft will open for you to test your work

jar is jar, it will work. It won't override forge
Forge and Neoforge are two different things, they can live together in one folder(versions)

good
Have you considered learning Java modding instead? May be easier than struggling with MCreator.

Start with basic Java tutorials, then move to Fabric/Forge/Neoforge tutorials. Don't get discouraged by the amount of work, it will get you much further than MCreator ever could (and actually gets easy once you get through tutorials).
Java (start with this one)
Fabric
Forge
Neoforge
