Hexxit Installing Help?

Hm, I can't just install every mod in Hexxit in Forge and play in 1.5.2?

to make it simple, download the launcher, and yes, you need it

Its been about a day......?

Technic is necessary to play the Hexxit modpack at this point due simply to the fact that the files aren't all directly installed onto your computer when it operates. Technic works by keeping tokens in the modpack files to make temporary downloads of the forge libraries necessary to run the given modpack. I recently tried to create a 1.5.2 forge profile to get around this unfortunate fact,but for some reason, it couldn't download the libraries.
On a related subject, I am currently working on compiling a 1.6.4 Hexxit update, and am only a few mods away from a complete update, and once I have finished the process of gathering updates I will attempt to get permission from the modmakers to distribute the final modpack. We may not be trapped in the dark ages of 1.5.2 for much longer. :3

Can I simply delete the launcher after it has installed Hexxit? Or is it necessary to play.

Hexxit comes with the Technic Launcher automatically, so all you have to do is install that, then be patient (maybe 5-10 minutes depending on how your internet connection can handle the stuff being thrown its way :3) as you download what you need. It is fun, and definitely worth trying out, but don't waste time downloading all the mods individually when you can be lazy and download one thing

The Best way is to download the technic launcher, then simply go on hexxit, it'll take some time to download it though. See my blogs how to get tekkit for a mac (same thing as pc) and cool hexxit features
