I have always thought that Minecraft bosses don't reward the players enough. I know that killing the Ender dragon gives you a lot of experience (only after the first time), but that is a boring reward. Plus, the Wither (arguably more difficult) doesn't even drop that much experience. It drops a nether star though. This time, it's my personal opinion, but I also find that reward boring since I don't really use beacons.
So I thought that making a mod that makes killing bosses more rewarding would suit Minecraft very good. I was personally thinking of cool weapons, rare gadgets and maybe also giving the dragon egg a use, if you know what I mean :)

Elytra exist, however you can get it without the ender dragon by using a "flying" machine. However, this process is hard and most people prefer beating the ender dragon first.
