I'm curious if this has already been implicated or not cause I can't seem to find it and even wonder if it hasn't then why hasn't it been created yet for this type of block would have a game changer in building style towards landscaping and so on. (If there is one would someone direct me to this mod) Anyways what I'm looking for is dirt steps to grass steps mod I've looked around a bit and maybe I'm not looking in the right places? Or it hasn't been created yet and if so would someone be willing to create this type of block so it would be used by those with creative minds towards projects.

I have the solution to your problem. Basically you're asking for more types of slabs. It's surprisingly easy when you know how to make it. It's included in CraftMine and Spoutcraft. If you want more details PM me.

I would have taken up this myself and learn how wouldn't be a bad idea to start somewhere and learn a thing or two, but my problem is focus and patience can't finish something I started in a way. (which was why I quit college in computer science)

Is it possible to copy an existing block in Minecraft file somewhere say wooden stairs and retexture and rename it as well as change the ID# Then it would come out exact same as wooden stairs but using different textures and name? Also being crafted the same way?
Well I think (could be wrong) That Blocks like stairs are just wrapped textures of the whole block, so its pretty much the same except for the chunk gone, this should mean that you wont need to texture anything just simply make a new piece of text stating for the game to add a new set of stairs corresponding to the Specific Block Id's which would be for grass and dirt, If I knew how I'd do it for you
You know how you craft wood into stairs among other materials in similar ways. The idea is to do the same with dirt/grass dirt, taking into consideration when crafting them.

If you find a competent modder this could be done fairly quickly

I took a look at your Extoris Island, pretty interesting style of mapping. I noticed what you were talking about its interesting but I still like to see complete full step style as the other original steps as is.
Not quite sure what you mean... You mean like a step block? A decorative half-slab of dirt that changes to grass and the like? That would be cool. It might take away the blocky feel of MC, though. Perhaps a world option for smooth terrain when generating?

With the latest update in minecraft towards enabling corner stairs, it would be quite unique as well using dirt steps or grass steps when creating landscapes.
