Well they would be wild and also it would be helpful with mobs. So that actually a good idea.
Everyone likes the cute and cuddly ferrets.could you make a mod that you can have a pet ferret you can name and adventure around with?
Yeah adn when you attack something the ferret jumps on its face!
But only wild ferrets do that
if you want to make a mod then i suggest making a hacthet mod that works like a weaker axe and sword that is throwable:D

i suggest using the luaforge api/mod it is easily explained and easily used. BUT it is not fully complete yet. you can only make blocks currently not items/foods etc. and imo lua is easier to use than java. Hope i can help
