MCP to minecraft 1.6
I just starting making mods at the beginning of 1.5.2 so I've never updated one before, but I do get the general idea of what to do and how to do it. Although theres one thing I can't figure out. How do I update MCP for minecraft 1.6? I have MCP v 1.8.2 but once I install modloader then drag the bin into the jars file it won't work. (and yes I did decompile) Can someone help me?

Don't listen to them they don't know what to do. Just copy your src or back it up and delete your mcp. Then go download the newest mcp out and do it just like you did the first one. now delete the src folder again and put in your back up src and attach eclipse. Walla your done!
Oh thanks! but what about modloader?
Decompile, delete the Src folder, open Jars/Versions, install modloader to 1.6.1.jar and decompile again
What about the server.jar?
I don't know how modloader works (I use Forge myself), but make sure you're using MCP 8.3. Don't use 8.2.
