I'm trying to make a resource pack with custom models for entities in minecraft, i searched all over the .jar and only found models for blocks and items. Does anyone know the location of the 3d models?

In vanilla ressource packs, you can't make custom entity models. You can use optifine to overwrite the existing entity models with your own. They won't be saved as .jar files, but as .cem files. A .jar file is more likely an executable mod.
