So guys i was messing around and finally managed to get the 1.7.2 source code. You can view and edit the code but it is difficult to understand compared to forge. I am working on using this to update my mod but it could be a while.

To my knowlege, Mojang has not released the source code for Minecraft. That being the case, it is illegal to distribute. Locked.
