I definitely don't know how to make mods, but I have some ideas.
I'd like this to be topic to give modmakers inspiration.
So post your ideas/feedback!
I'll start with one of my ideas i've had since xp was introduced into the game:
To be able to level up armor/weapons, and increase damage, durability, and more.
The last thing is: If you are a modmaker, and decide to create someones idea, be sure to give credit to the person who thought of the idea.

"by level up tools, i meant: if you break 1 block you earn 1 exp. on your pickaxe (not your player)after mining 100 blocks you level up your pickaxe and have "points" to spend on the pickaxe(mine faster, more durability, etc.)"
Asking for a bit much there unfortuntely. (Best we leave that to the pros)
That mod does allow tools levelling up though. Just with extra diamonds. Even introduces emerald tools if that's what your after.

No, I know about that mod, I mean like a backpack you can wear, not one that you carry.

Believe it or not, there's a mod for that already. Check out Jokkiedog's Upgrade Plus. Not only is he a great friend of mine, he makes amazing mods.

A backpack slot, so you can wear a backpack that increases your inventory space, and stays on you when you die.
