Mod installation help.

I'm trying to install mods using mcpatcher, but minecraft keeps crashing. Help anyone?

You should try MultiMC. It helps
sometimes a mod may have a resources folder in which it will have to be inputted manualy... check that the mod is compatable with your minecraft and that there are no other mods it needs, or is conflicting with.
