My Mod Request:

Hello, I would like to request a mod to be created. I would like a mod that strips down the minecraft launcher to the ability to join servers and only display and use chat. I would like this because I would like to not have to worry about lag, and viewing things because I am very much into chatting and less into playing. It would be much appreciated if I could get a fellow programmer to assist me, or point me in the right direction. This would be my first mod, so I do not know where to start. Thank you all!

why not just go to like.. tiny chat, or a chat site?
You could first of all look into the MInecraftServer class to see where the Chat GUI is initiated. Maybe you can call it in your mod's main class when selecting a server?
