Could anyone give me an idea on how difficult mods are to create? What I mean by this is programming how much is needed or how experienced you have to be to create bigger mods. The reason i'm asking this is because I had an idea for a pretty big mod (adding tons of items and game changes). Another question I have is, How much can you edit?. Sorry for the noob questions. lol

Modding is amazingly easy with this course, https://ydsportal.com/moodle/login/index.php ,even if your are older than the recemonded age (8-14) it is very useful, the expensive price is worth it.

Well, if you learned enough Java you could start writing your own programs.

I started modding a year ago, or just over.
I had very little (almost 0) java experience when I started.

Now I'm ranked 38 out of all modders on this site.

So long as you have a logical brain it's incredibly easy. If not I'm sure it's still quite easy, just gotta think about it a bit.

I cant help much but i can tell you this: Textures are by far the easyest part, unless your models for said textures are complex. Mods require alot of programming, javascript knowledge and such. To rename items and blocks just go into the files and find the block you want to rename. There are programs on the internet designed to help with making mods, if i were you i would google "How To Make A Minecraft Mod" look at a few tutorials, find some of these programs, get a photoshop editor for textures, get techne for models, and a bunch of other things like notepad++ to make it all the easyer. if you need to learn coding really quickly, go to www.codecademy.com/ it will help alot.
