I recently got a new PC built, with everything going alright I decided to install a mod into my mc, which resulted in a immediate crash. Is there a new way to install mods? If so please tell me. If I need to also post my crash report I'm very happy to do so.

make sure your running the right forge version for the version of minecraft your runing, and make sure your mods are the same version of minecraft as well, a 1.8.9 mod wont work on a 1.8 client, same with 1.8 not working on 1.8.9, and so on

It would've been good to post the crash log from the start, but how did you install the mods? Forge has an installer now, has had one since 1.6.2
