I have had two ideas for while and I haven't seen a mod for either, a quiver mod, something you could wear (possibly?) that can hold multiple stacks of arrowa and a tameable hawk/falcon, a flying version of the wolf that can help you hunt.

There are quivers in Minecraft if you look in the items.png file, but they're unused. Good idea.
