If you want to code mods unfortunately you will have to use Eclipse and start learning to code but if you want just a mod not to share or share on other websites use http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/1361604-162-windows-forge-linkseyis-modmaker-create-unique-blocks-items-recipes-mobs-and-models-structures-and-biomes-with-a-simple-gui/ hope this helped

Hey there! I'd be glad to help you, if you want. I can provide you some of my source code for the Hazuzu mod which you can alter for your own personal use. If you want to do a bit of coding yourself, check out some tutorials on my new youtube channel (I use a mac too). I haven't quite gotten into ore generation, but I have gone into a bunch of cool stuff you can do with blocks.
Here's my channel:

PM me if you want some of the source code for the ore generation. You can follow my basic items tutorial for the ingots.

As AwesomeMin3r2000 pointed out mods made by programs are not allowed on PMC. There is no 'easy' way to learn how to make a mod, if you want to make a mod, make a real mod and not another "Mo' Tools" mod. If you want to make a mod, I'm afraid there is no exception for you, you have to learn Java as anyone else would have to. I suggest looking at thenewboston's youtube channel to learn Java, and then look up some tutorials on how to make mods.

There is a website called code academy, it helps learning how to coding.

Does not learn Java

Otherwise, adding Ingots and Ore is really easy, but PMC wont allow simple mods like that. Try YouTube, it helps more than you think!

You can't use mcreator even if you had a PC, because it is not really allowed on Planet Minecraft. I am going to be making more tutorials for making mods, but they will require programming... If you don't want to program a lot, then you probably shouldn't get into the modding area...

Simple as that.

making new ingots and such should not be too hard as you are not adding new functionalities or artificial inteligences

Well if the mod is for your own personal use, and not going to be uploaded here, you could use Linkseyi's Mod Maker. Otherwise you're going to have to learn Java like the rest of us.
