Pack Updater is a website to update the pack_format of Minecraft resource packs and data packs.
It does not change the assets of a pack, only the pack.mcmeta. All packs must be correctly zipped.

Will it it work if I change a 1.16 pack to 1.8?
the tool only changes the pack_format number in the pack.mcmeta file, so although the pack will appear compatible in game if you use the tool, the files won't be in the right place. i think ewan might have a tool to properly convert them though
Thanks I might try that. I assume by the description for this that it wouldn’t but I wasn’t sure
1.8? You mean 1.18?
Note their updater doesnt upgrade datapack commands unlike Misode's datapack updater.
If you're talking abt datapacks, dont use this

No 1.8. I’m talking about resource packs but I don’t know if it’ll work because of how different 1.8 is
based
Holy crap that’s amazing that this exists
what is the purpose exactly, I feel like just opening the text file and pressing two, maybe 3 keys would be less work.
Honestly, the reason I made this was more for the sake of making it, and to learn something related to programming. Personally, I think it's easier to use this tool to update packs, but it is admittedly very easy to do it manually as well.
makes sense
I would do the same
Lol even tho it’s easy I would still for some reason use stuff like that
maybe I'm missing something though
