My friends and I started a modded server a few weeks ago, and a few days after I started encountering an issue that I have not been able to identify the cause of/fix. Basically, whenever I load new chunks or go to friends' bases, the MC application starts chugging my memory, around 10k MB of it, and starts freezing my entire computer. I'm barely able to access the exit menu during this and often have to close the game with task manager just to get it to stop. Our modpack is pretty beefy, but I am the only one in our group having this issue when I have previously done fine with other servers and many other games.
My primary suspect was the Distant Horizons mod (1.18.2), but recently I encountered the issue again with it turned off. I'm not sure what to try to fix it.
