Question About Making Mods
So I have made a few mods already and they have been getting like 300 views but like 30 downloads. I use MCreator that can only make mods for Minecraft 1.15.2 so I was wondering if people still download and use mods for 1.15 because I can only make mods for that game version. I just wanted to know if anyone still uses Minecraft 1.15 anymore?

I don't know if this still holds true, but MCreator mods aren't allowed on planet minecraft, the rules could've changed since then, but that's what I remember. To answer your question though, pretty much people use whatever version they wanna use, so if their favorite mods are only in 1.15 they will probably use 1.15 and I am sure a hefty amount of people do use 1.15 still.
if you dont have a lot of dowlands you can make more updates like new textures or items.
theres is 1.16 version of mcreator
theres is 1.16 version of mcreator
actually mcreator has a 1.16 version. scroll towards the bottum of their page and select the snapshots button.
Oh! Ok, thanks for telling me that because I have been wondering for a while if I could run a newer version. Thank you!
youre welcome
Its not a very popular version of MC compared to 1.16. But there are snapshots for MCreator that allow the creation of 1.16.4-5 mods.
Those who are only interested in the latest Mojang additions will only ever be interested in using the latest version.
Those who require more out of their game usually turn to modding, in which case, they will use whichever version of minecraft has the type of mods they want. It is difficult to estimate exact numbers for any given version being played.
The Minecraft Stats page is an indicator of how many servers are up, and near the bottom of the page, it gives a pie chart of the versions of each server that is available. However, these stats only show those servers where the server owner is willing to let such stats be shared with Mojang, there is a config option to stop this, hence why it is difficult to get exact numbers.

You can be sure that if your mod is a popular one, it'll get used. I personally play versions as far back as Beta 1.7.3 through to 1.12.2, depending on the pack I'm playing, and I'm sure others do similar. Why not play 1.13+, well, I'm a really big fan of Tinkers Construct so I'm still waiting for that mod to be updated before I move on any further. At the moment, I have many packs to keep me going for quite a length of time, and I'm currently building a pack of my own, so plenty to do.
