I have done some searching but have not come up with much, I'm hoping reaching out to the community might produce better results.
In short I'm looking for a server-side only mod or datapack that allows players to land claim to protect their builds, at least something that protects chests.
These is for Minecraft 1.21.5 on NeoForge

(Neo)Forge servers are very pesky when it comes to protection, also because they don't provide any options out of the box.
Still... I'm quite fond of "Open parties & claims", by Xaero. This one is especially useful if you also use their map mods. And I also enjoyed FLAN (though this one started misbehaving on me).
I'd suggest to search Curseforge, there are quite a few options available as far as I can see.

thank you, i'll give those a look. I have been searching on Modrinth and Curseforge, The challenge is I'm trying to keep it to something that is solely server-side, so that vanilla clients can join without requiring any mod.
