Sponge redstone compatability issues?

I run a small community server on spigot at the moment. Now I knew this going in, but obviously spigot has issues with more complicated redstone.
We're at the point where we wish to start building more complex redstone, so I'm looking to switch away from spigot.
Problem is, there's a few plugins that we've come to really enjoy that we'd loose from a straight switch to Vanilla. I can augment most with datapacks, but a couple (coreprotect & dynmap) I've been unable to find datapack replacements.
Which has lead me to sponge. where I can get coreprotect and dynmap alternatives.
Now I've googled for quite awhile to see if I can find any noted issues with sponge and redstone, and I've come up empty handed. I would really love anyone that has personal experience on the issue if you can verify if indeed sponge does not cause any redstone issues on more complicated builds. I appreciate your responses!
