I am in a bit of a conundrum.
I am in the process of creating a STALKER minecraft map, and alongside it a mod which will be the main source of items, systems and whatnot, https://www.planetminecraft.com/project/the-zone-based-of-the-s-t-a-l-k-e-r-2-map/ you can view the project here, the photos are outdated but I will update them sooner or later.
Now for the main question, I am a bit conflicted on how to make the armor.
Originally I would make one complete suit of armor that would go on one armor slot, and that would be it. I would make multiple different armors for each faction, such as different combat suits, as well as light jackets, and exoskeletons.
But now I am conflicted on whether or not I should do another method, which includes having separate vests, undersuits/clothing, and helmets.

As you can see here the main difference of my ideas. These photos are from the actual stalker game, the top one being from a mod called 'HD Models for Anomaly", and the bottom being from the base Stalker game.
Initially I would've done a complete suit of armor on one armor slot like the bottom image, just like the games, the games would have just one item as a complete suit of armor.
But now seeing the other image and seeing how it uses real-life armor pieces, such as helmets and vests, I am now considering using that method. The method would be just as described above, first an undersuit, such as actual camo uniforms or even just everyday clothing, an armored vest, and then helmets/gas masks/helmets with gas masks.
I posted a poll to see what the populus prefers.
