I noticed that Amethyst, Copper and Lapis ores have very few functions in Minecraft, so I am giving these ores new functions in the mod I am currently working on. But I also need your suggestions.
EXAMPLE:
A new music block can be made with amethyst ore. Thanks to this block, the player can create his own music.

I made a data pack, Useful Copper, that allows the player to craft metal items that are not specifically iron (and can't be turned back into iron) from copper or iron interchangeably. You might consider modifying this concept to allow these crafting recipes to have separate copper analogues, e.g. copper shears with a copper-toned texture; copper rails; copper hoppers. You could make them function slightly differently, like a copper hopper could have more or fewer item slots, copper rails could have a different redstone conductivity/mob pathfinding restrictions, or the like. Copper is easier to get in the very early game (imo), so I wouldn't necessarily make it better than iron, just different. That way, a casual player's experience could be different depending on what's more abundant near them, while a technical player could have more options for different mechanics.
Your idea has been added!
I can’t think of many functions for amethyst, but one thing I thought of was for it to cause note blocks to make wind chime noises. For copper, maybe you could allow copper blocks to act as horizontal redstone in a way, which could allow you to save up on redstone, and it would take up less space.
I already had a similar idea, but thanks.
The copper one of course depends on weather or not trial chambers use redstone, but even if they do you could add a new copper block that has my suggested function, instead of regular copper blocks.
A pressure plate that produces a redstone signal on the same schedule as the Light Weighted Pressure Plate, but which counts only players and mobs (as does the Polished Blackstone Pressure Plate)
Something that acts similarly, but uses the output schedule of the Heavy Weighted Pressure Plate might also be done: I suspect this would see less use because of the effects of entity cramming starting at 25.

Dude... I didnt understand anything you said but you seem to be saying some cool stuff!
Picking materials just as examples:
Add a copper pressure plate that detects only players and mobs (but not items) and outputs a redstone signal that varies based on the number of players & mobs detected
0 >> 0,
1player/mob >> a signal strength of 1,
up to
15 or more players/mobs >> signal strength of 15
Add a lapis pressure plate that detects tha same as copper, but the output siganl strength is
0>>0,
1-10 players/mobs >> signal strength of 1
up to
141+ players/mobs >> signal strength of 15

If you use Emerald why not create emerald armor? I feel like emerald sword would make 7+ attack damage
I saw that with all the mods developed so far, separate armors and tools were designed for copper and emerald.
Why don't we combine emerald and copper in the same armor to make this mod separate and special? I said, so I don't have to deal with two different armors,
And if there is such an armor in this mode, its durability and protection power will be as much as iron tools.
BUT!!!
This armor will have a special and powerful feature.

Idea: Copper armor & tools, a minecart coupler from copper, a new copper chain, amethyst building blocks.
Amethyst building blocks are such a cool idea! Also, when it comes to copper, most of the things to be added for copper in this mode will be redstone blocks.
Also add the copper bulb to versions 1.20.2 and earlier
