As I cannot find one, I am asking anyone who makes mods to make something for the community, PLEASE. If you really need it, I will try to offer you sponsorship after the mod is out. The passage looks long but I'm just being detailed.
Core Features:
1. First, visible normal fish ('normal', variants cod, clownfish, salmon) (similar texture to the in-game item) that will swim away from a nearby player (around 10 blocks range) so quickly that it cannot be reached without flying, but will approach the player if s/he is holding bread OR the normal fish have been tamed. They can be tamed by feeding them with bread once, 100% success.
'Normal' fish spawn at the same chance as cows naturally in groups of six to twelve in all water sources.
Pufferfish only spawn rarely as individuals. When touched cause half the damage of spiders'. Pufferfish cannot be tamed or fed and always swim slowly in random directions when neutral. Extends thorns (just like guardians) and swims away slowly once attacked, until player leaves the normal attack range of hostile mobs.
All fish (ie including pufferfish) avoid running aground at all costs. Once killed by the player and/or died on the ground, drops one corresponding item.
Also, the ability to capture all types of fish alive using a water bucket (gets a cod/clownfish/salmon/pufferfish bucket by right clicking the fish with a water bucket, losing the water bucket)
Of course, the fish can still be obtained dead using a fishing rod, and takes damage quickly when put on dry ground.
2. Spawn-eggs in creative mode inventory for all mobs added.
Preferred Features:
1. Dolphins, basically behave the same as horses, just that they work under water. Swims downwards when the player points below the horizon and vice versa.
Spawns rarely in groups of two to four in deep oceans. Stays in the water at all costs but will not take damage for not being so. Crawls slowly to nearby water if somehow ended up on land.
Avoids guardians over a long range unless tamed but are mutually neutral. Ignores players, unless the player is holding a 'normal' fish, in which case they will approach slowly. Feeding them cod or clownfish will have a certain chance of taming them, similar to wheat on horses. Salmon have a greater chance of taming them than other types but pufferfish do not work.
Tamed dolphins roam more slowly and ocassionally stop swimming when left alone and when dismounted, stays near the spot they were last left.
2. Fish flop around slightly (or rather, jumps around, in random directions) when out of water.
Optional Features:
1. Iron fishing rod, basically a fish rod with more durability. And the existing fish rod renamed wooden fish rod.
