Hi everyone,

I've been modding Minecraft since 1.9.2 and after years of writing the same registry code, JSON files and Gradle setup over and over, I finally built the tool I'd been wishing existed.

It's called Mod Builder.

The idea is pretty simple. You create your mod content through a visual editor, see it update as you go, then export a proper Minecraft project that you can open in IntelliJ and carry on developing. It is not trying to replace coding, it just gets the repetitive setup out of the way.

At the moment it supports Fabric, Forge and NeoForge, with things like items, blocks and other content already working. I'm still actively adding features as I build and use it myself.

You can try it here: https://builder.moddingwithryan.com

I'd really appreciate some feedback from people who actually mod. If something feels awkward, if there's a feature you wish existed, or if I've completely missed an obvious pain point, let me know. I'd rather build the next features around what other modders actually need than guess.

Images are available below for a preview of what it looks like / how it works!
