I have programmed with Java for two and a half years now. I learned from the Oracle Java tutorials. They explain everything well, and because they're text tutorials, you can take it at your own pace. Have a look around though, different tutorials suit different people better. Search for "Basic Java Tutorial" and you get lots and lots of relevant results.

Guys, Codecademy teaches JAVASCRIPT, a completely different language. If you wish to learn this rather useless other language, continue on.

Yes, do go to http://www.codeacademy.com like what i0wnagee says. There is a ton of coding lessons. Some are html (I am learning it), php, javascript, Jquery, css, etc...
