I really want to get into making mods but the coding and programming in 'Eclipse classic' is holding me back. Can anyone help me out with this?
Can anyone give me a code template that I can use for adding a mob and one for items? I also need to know where to put the files, where do I create the file that will hold my mod? It's just so confusing to a newbie and someone who has zero experience with computer tech.

Get IntelliJ IDEA. It's better than Eclipse in many ways. Definitely easier to understand.
I am experienced in other types of coding, but I only know a bit of Java, i am not an expert at it, so I'd have to say, I'm not your guy, sorry.
