About our server:
BlockOdyssey is a Minecraft Creative server running CraftBukkit 1.2.5R4.
We have a variety of plug-ins on the server, including Essentials, MobDisguise, WorldEdit/VoxelSniper, and more.
We have three worlds on the server. Players start in the Guest World, which we use to minimise grief and to initiate players that demonstrate an acceptable level of creative building skill. The Main World is available to players ranked [Member] and higher, and this is the world the majority of our players will build in. The final world, the Low World, is available only to [Elite] and higher. This world is used for Time Lapse recording, Team Projects, or Sky Scrapers.
Our community has a rank based promotions system based solely on building skill. Applicants for promotion must demonstrate a high proficiency in building to be successful.
Our server is hosted in a top-quality data-centre in Dallas, Texas, USA, and uses optimal networking technology to deliver as seamless service to players as possible.
Server Rules:
1: No Griefing
Griefing is the purposeful altering of another player’s land or constructions without permission, and is not tolerated on the Block Odyssey server. Players caught griefing will be banned from the server permanently.
2: No Spamming
Spamming is the use of chat, plugins, or the game mechanics, to flood the chatbox with text. Spamming in game can result in being jailed, muted in game, or banned permanently.
3: Be Respectful
Individuals must respect all players and staff at all times. This server tries to keep a PG atmosphere, and therefore cursing or conversation of an explicit nature is not allowed. Staff
4: No Advertising
Advertising other servers not owned or operated by our affiliates or partners is not allowed on BlockOdyssey. Doing so can result in being permanently banned from the server.
5: No Asking For Promotions
While using “/modreq” to request an inspection for promotion to [Member] is acceptable, all other ranks must be applied for on the Forum, using the proper application template provided. Requesting for promotion in-game can cause you to be demoted or muted. (It is also against the rules to ask voting members to look at your application. They will see it on the forums in due course.)
6: Listen to Staff
Any member ranked [Elite] or above is a member of the moderating staff. If one of these ranked players requests you stop whatever it is you are doing (ie cursing, spamming, griefing, dropping entities), you must stop. Consequences for not doing so may include being demoted, jailed, muted, or permanently banned from the server.
