I've got a fair amount of redstone experience, I'll post some pictures of the type of stuff I've made in the past..
This is a musical lock which will only open a piston based door when 5 buttons are pushed in the correct order.
This is the outside of a 2 puzzle test I made in creative. There is more redstone round the other side which includes using perminant pressure plates (which can be reset by pushing a button) glowstone lamps and a piston based jumping puzzle.

Building Experience: Medieval, experienced as in around a 8 or something like that, fantasy somewhere around a 6, modern never done it as it is a terrible build to do.
