Builders Required! (Experienced Please)

I Own a server that I just put up, and across from my spawn is a incredibly large, which seems infinite ocean.

My idea & question is, Would it be humanly possible to create to massive pirate ships, in which people would battle across with bows and bridges that crossed over to each other, and even so, a tnt cannon that did not damage the boat, but only the players?


Need some feedback, or maybe some ideas and help.
