Craftbukkit 1.5

There is a official version you just need a jenkins account, but the thing with jenkins is that it may not be from bukkit or whatever you are trying to download.It is out but you need to go thru all of the steps to make a jenkins account.

Tested out the latest 1.5 dev build last night looks very stable am currently using it on my server. Many plugins already have updates and more are coming.

Dev 1.5 Build works, there are a few broken plugins, but the majority work. WorldEdit and WorldGuard already have updates out for the new version.

If anyone has any problems pm me, I'll do my best to help

I've tried the 1.5 dev build on my server and it's running ok actually. I've got errors but the plugins still work too it crashed once lol :p

Yeah The Dev Release Is Out But It Has Quite A Few Bugs And Glitches And Is Not That Stable.

its a official dev release now build number 2646 version 1.5-R0.1 BUT as macgarthur says its a test version so it might break at anytime.

They do have an unofficial 1.5 dev release, not very stable though and honestly not worth it in my opinion. Great for testing but that's about it, I'll wait for the stable release.

ill pass on the spiggot and wait for the official bukkit release. call me old fashioned but i prefere to use software i know what it is.

I use Spigot and it works great! Its not a loophole since Spigot is a craftbukkit replacement and it was built so that players could upgrade and play servers safely. No headaches here yet! PM me if you need help getting it to work.

Crafbukkit hasn't issued a 1.5 release yet, what people who claim to be on 1.5 are using is SpigotMC. It allows them to exploit a loophole in the latest 1.4.7 dev release and allows people with the 1.5 update to connect. It doesn't have any of the 1.5 content or updates though and it's actually less stable than the regular 1.4.7 that we've all been currently using.

I'm going to wait until Craftbukkit releases a real 1.5 update that is stable to avoid headaches for myself and my players.

i wouldnt use a bukkit that is NOT officially released. if people do it its their funeral,

Servers that have updated to 1.5 and use craftbukkit most likely got their copy from someone who edited the original. It's not a stable build, and I don't recommend using it.
