Alright, So before i launched a Minecraft Server that didn't go as well as expected. Any how, me and a partner are interested in earning some money. I brought up the idea of arbitrage via a Minecraft Server. If you don't know what arbitrage is you should fetch the nearest dictionary.

The idea of hosting this server is to provide quality gaming experience to the players, and also make profit via player donation.

My partner is in disbelief that we will make profit, and that people actually donate reasonable amounts of money towards quality Servers.

To prove to him that this will work, I'm going to need some help. Before we go forward with anything, we need to know if people will actually contribute to our Server. So if you are willing to donate any amount to our Server. Just comment below the amount you would donate to a decent Server.

Then i can show my partner this and he'll probably forward our plans.
If you want to know what the server would be featuring, here's an accurate list.

-Factions
-Auctions
-Survival
-Creative
-Quality Plugins
-Portals
-Amazing Spawn
-Economy
-Cracked
-Mini Games
-PVP
-Mob Arena

Any others you think should be added you can also mention in the comments!

We hope to see our plans executed.

Unless your server has an established community and is of a very high quality, no one will likely donate to it for nothing. You need to create donation packs for players.
Also, if you are making the server for the sheer purpose of making a profit or to just prove your friend wrong, then no offense, just stop now. The goal of a server is to provide a place for players to play, profit should not be the primary goal. Even though you say that you want to provide a fun place for people to play (and I'm not doubting that you do) the rest of your post is entirely focused on making a profit and proving this "partner" wrong. What goals do you have for the server itself? What is your vision for the server? What are you offering that will give players an experience they can't get elsewhere? You don't even mention these sort of things in your post.
If you manage to make money from donations, at least at the start, they should all be stockpiled to pay for the server (and server related features like a forums and TS server). This is to keep the server afloat in the instance that you have a dry period and don't get many donations for awhile.
I've made my server over 100$ within a couple of days, and you know what I made sure happened with the money? I made sure it all went right back to the server in preparations for an upgrade for better performance for the players.
Servers are for the players.
Sorry if this isn't what you wanted to hear, but if you want to be successful, then you need to change the morals of your motives.
