Hello Minecrafters,

I am Tolmikarc, proud owner of the 2 years' running server, Redstone Powered, a Towny, RolePlay, and Economy server. We have been looking for a developer to code custom plugins, and edit the plugins we currently have. What we need out of a developer will be explained later in this post. For now, here is some information on our server:

On Redstone Powered, we use bukkit plugins to "enhance" the gameplay in the already amazing Minecraft. Our goal is to create a game that is not only more fun for the player, but creates a sense of community and teamwork. We push for our players to work together to build massive cities and war against the strongest of the nations in our Classic world, and play through long quest-lines and side-quests, along with the ability to find dungeons and complete them earning treasure for yourself. A few things are shared between these worlds but some things are completely unique to each of the worlds. Run with 6 GB of RAM, dual CPU processors, and only 80 slots, we leave our players lag-less so they can worry about other things such as, "How can I create something that cool!" The most interesting part about our server is the fact that we may look like a Multi-Server Network, but we are actually just one server divided into worlds for each kind of gameplay. This is to keep all the players neat and tidy in one chat, under the guidance of one team of staff, and it makes it much easier for us administrators to configure and develop.

There are 2 different worlds. The main world is the Classic world. When the server first started, Towny was the basis. Two years later, it is the same. On this world you can create Cities, Villages, Towns, Nations, Empires, and whole Civilizations to be under your command. You can also just as easily, join any of these. Alongside being a Towny world, this is the only world that has a player based economy. Unlike the RolePlay world, the players run the economy, creating their own shops, with their own prices, and their own items. Earning money, is different. This is server based because if it was player based, that would mean a player would hire another and pay him for a job, but how would the employer get the money in the first place. Our job system allows players to sign up for predefined professions and follow out on what they ask for, whilst earning money along the way. A player can join three jobs and level up these jobs, earning more money for each level. This money can be used towards getting more land, buying some materials, or paying another player for an item they have that you want really bad!

The other world is currently under construction as of Febuary 8th, 2015, but a little detail on it wouldn't hurt anyone. On the RolePlay world (my personal favorite) players can join classes to play as. Each class has a unique set of abilities and passives gained after first leveling up and using skill points to get them. Classes were made to be equal so that when pvping, no class could overpower another. Also in this world, there will be a questing system, with a main quest-line, and multiple side-quests. Each quest has a unique reward following it, and adds a sense of challenge and completion to the game. Another feature of this world is the dungeon system. With uniquely made dungeons that you can join in on with your friends at any time, you can defeat the hardest of monsters, and earn your reward at the end. The very last feature, which is my favorite feature, is the fact that this world has what I like to call "sub-worlds". They are no different than the other worlds technically but they share identical plugin setups as the basic RolePlay world. These worlds will be incorporated into the quest system and dungeon system as time passes, but for now they will really only be used for creating fortresses to hold your clan.

There will be more worlds incorporated into the server like a minigames world where there are minigames, but each minigame can only be accessed if you are a specific level, because what will be cool about these minigames, is they will incorporate the skills you have earned in the other two worlds, to be used in things like Kit PVP, Mob Arena, and other fun minigames.

If you wan't to come check us out in person, for what we have so far (remember there is no RolePlay world yet but if I am on, I could answer your questions) the IP is redstonepowered.mc-srv.com and our website is http://redstonepowermc.com/

If you like what you have heard so far, and you know how to code Bukkit plugins, create a post below under these guidelines:

[Your Minecraft Name]

[How Old You Are]

[What types of code do you know]

[If you have an example plugin or a link to a plugin you have posted already, please say so]

[Why we should have you as a developer (what makes you a more viable choice than the others)]

[How advanced are you when it comes to coding Bukkit plugins]

Once you have applied, I will go over it, and decide whether you would be a good addition to our staff team. Currently we have a small staff team with me, a Co-Owner, an Admin, and two moderators. We are not the largest server, but our end goal would be to have an average of at least forty players on at a time, and at least 80 new visits every day. The current construction we are going through, may improve the likeliness of this happening, but custom plugins would rocket that player average right up. Here are some of the the things we are looking for a developer to do:

Key: Red = Larger project Green = Medium Sized Project Blue = Easy project

- Create a plugin that would replace essentials, as it is not updated to 1.8.1 (or update it yourself)
- Create a custom economy with world currencies, and multiple ways of shopping, whether it be through a sign, a player made chest, or trading player to player (Basically a combination of a regular economy plugin, SignShop, ChestShop, and a trading plugin)
- A plugin for custom items for the RolePlaying world such as cool new weapons, armors, and potions. This plugin could also be used in the Classic world in crafting new weapons and armors that are more Minecraft Lore Friendly with custom enchantments from a plugin mentioned next.
- Custom enchantments. That is pretty self explanatory.
- An overhaul on the Towny war system, to make it more like the factions war system, but still have the same system as Towny does for claims and permissions.
- A plugin that keeps track of when players joined, and naturally ranks them up as they play.
- New ways to craft special items for people with special permissions
- Lost and found plugin allowing players who own towns to send items owned by other players to a lost and found where they can claim the item with a command.
- A plugin for custom mobs allowing them to spawn in specific areas in both worlds. This will also be incorporated into the dungeon system in the RolePlay world with Boss battles and challenging combat
- An event plugin allowing players to sign up for an event that will teleport them to somewhere if they are online or come online during the event
- A basic server administration plugin with player management commands, server configuation commands, and any feature that would make being staff easier.
- A plugin to work along side Towny that would allow towny to work alongside other plugins such as the jobs plugin.
- A plugin restriction plugin that restricts specific plugins to work in specific worlds or areas. Have none of their commands show up as a command, and have all of their lasting effects on a player removed as they enter the new area.
- Voting rewards based on chance and rank.

I also might want some editing on the plugins we currently have (74 plugins and counting). If you think you can't create all of these but you might be able to create a few, that's all we need. Hopefully, someone else will be able to do the harder ones you can't. Please post below, and join our server proudly!

Most developers don't normally get a payment for doing their job, but I will allow a portion of all donations to be directed to any dev that decides to help us out, as they are most likely the reason the donation was given.
