Does running a server use computer memory?
So i just made a new server and i am new to the whole server thing, so im wondering if running a server uses computer space. Post your answer below! thanks

Yes and yes to both. Unless you're running a full-out pro server, you shouldn't worry about disk space.
And DO NOT set the server limit to your board capacity. Shove the JVM allocation down a gig below it, or fitting your needs. I currently run a pretty good server on a computer with 1.75 gigs on it. So no, your computer is NEVER too old. :3

Running a server will require RAM space. You should have 2, 4, or 8 GB of RAM in your computer.
It will use an extremely small amount of hard drive space (This should be anywhere from 120GB-2TB). But unless you're downloading a TON (and I mean a ton) of plugins or mods for your server, you won't have to worry about hard drive space.
The main thing to worry about is RAM. Especially if you're running multiple programs, Minecraft, and a server all at once.
