Hey guys, my name is jordan. I have recently opened a server for all my fellow minecrafters to play on, And with that i need some advice on what plugins you guys would like to see in a server.

You could make a towny server, with pvp enabled outside towns, and make a single town just for pvp. You could also enable griefing/Chest stealing in the wilderness to try and persuade them to join towns ( so they never grow old and empty).You could add portals leading to different events, like spleef, parkour world, paintball etc
Just an idea but it would be in quite a-bit of attention

Perhaps there could be several minigames on the server. The winner could get money which they could then spend in shops to get resources for their home or weapons and armour. There could be building contests to earn stuff aswell..

To celebrate the soon to come release of Destiny. I have a brilliant idea. But, I have no supplies to begin creating it. If you have been following Destiny's journey to publishing. You'll understand it is a high tech, Apocalypse based Shooter. Imagine it. You'll be able to join one of 5 Nations.
1.Dead Orbit
2. FWC
3. New Monarchy
4. Osiris
5. 7 Seraphs
If you combine the custom weaponry plugins for a server called MineOfDuty and many more you could make something amazing. Each Nation covering a different area of the world. With the Humans, living in the last city under the Traveler. A large sphere that saved the very few human survivors from being stamped out. Portals (Not the cliche minecraft ones) letting players fast travel around to different areas. NPC bandits and aliens scouting the land. This server isn't going to be "Join and Kill". It's planning to have Organized wars. Couriers, travelling from one Nation to another. Bringing notes to each and every Nation Emperor.

It's not up at the moment.
There's not alot you can make unique about a non-pvp survival community server. You would just need to make it the best you could. Zero lag, Great spawn, Shops, PVP arenas instead of all round pvp, Mob arena, Cool name, good staff. I see you havent created a server before so maybe just make a great server and add some other aspects to make it more unique.
Incorrect, I have owned servers before. I have just went with the flow of servers. But now i wish to change.
I agree Mastadon! People need something to do when they get bored in minecraft! Or something to achieve like kill enemy's and be the best! Otherwise there isnt much incentive to get godly enchanted armor sword! And have a team of good pvp and a large fort! As for the raiding ( Griefing and stealing ) im not sure because i love it sometimes but other times i just want to build pvp and to not be griefed! Obviously having a raiding server has less complaints ( Griefing is allowed ). But there isnt much of community! It all depends on what you want! I would say raiding servers get more players As for having a unique server which no one else has you would most likely need to be able to create pretty complicated plugins.
I just need to think of ways to be unique and draw a crowd.
You should have chest protection, shops , etc. like plugins to protect your stuff. But, overall you should make it a peaceful server where PvP is not aloud and griefing isn't either.
This is what i had in mind, But this day in age people are all about "PVP Servers" and less about the laid back "Survival Community Servers".
I was thinking of, a server where theirs 4 nations and everyone is at peace at first. Then eventually people start doing there own things and start having wars. This is just a simple version, I am on my phone so I cant go too in dept.
