"Failed To Verify Username"
Whenever i try to log onto a new server, it says "failed to verify username". What does that mean? i am trying to join my friends server and it doesnt work. someone please tell me what is work

if ur using mineshafter u cant connect to peoples servers who did buy the game just saying if u r using mineshafter
minecraft 1.1 has just released, it is possible that the server has not yet been updated. if this is not the case and you have been connected since 1.1 release try removing the server completely and re add it
