Over my year or so of playing Minecraft I have favored faction servers. The problem with this is most of them are excessively generous. You could join a server and your starter kit would have diamond armor, diamond tools, 64 steaks, and what else but more diamonds. The purpose of this is to encourage fighting. I want a faction server where it is not common to see a faction with over 5 stacks of diamonds, a faction server with no kits or if there are kits then stone tools + a little food at maximum. I do not want the server to have any game altering, specifically pvp altering, plugins. (Mcmmo, Heroes just to name a couple) The server should have a healthy amount of players, and at least some areas in the map where there are still some resources! If you find or know of a server that meets this criteria please post it in the comments, Thankee

A really really good factions server is Hopecraft.
They have several factions, and about 20 people on. They also have custom biomes, and regular amount of ores.
They are currently in the process of making a huge world painted /voxel sniper terrain that will be implemented with 9 different biomes.

I believe what your looking for is a pvp griefing survival server. If you want a faction server without mcmmo, and without guys with a crap ton of a diamonds, you aren't looking for factions. A nice server is play.ironcrossfactions.com that I currently play on. There is 1 faction that has over 5 stacks, and we have mcmmo. It has about 20 people on during the day and it doesn't give you diamonds. You get stone tools to start. That's all you get.

I know what I am looking for. I have been on servers with factions since beta 1.5. Do not tell me what I am and what I am not looking for. I want a server that has factions, and doesn't have any pvp altering plugins. Not every faction server has MCMMO, just usually horrible ones.
Ok, I was trying to be nice, but you don't seem to be very nice. There are very few factions servers that don't have game altering plug ins. You have just offended most factions owners, players, moderators and admins. Go play on a vanilla minecraft
server. If you already know of some, why not play them? You disgust me.

Those servers do not suck, they are just not my style. And I was not trying being rude, you probably just read it wrong or maybe I wrote it wrong. To be honest, I do not think anyone cares if I "offended" them on the internet, if they were truly offended by such a mediocre statement then they should probably not be on these forums.
