Hey. I am currently having a server hosting. But it laggs. If you let me host i will show you what i can do. You will get 75% donations. And well lets just say i'll surprise you of what will happen with it. You will be happy.

First off I would like to thank you for even thinking about holding this contest because a lot of us are too poor to host a server ourselves.
My age is 13 but I am very mature and have been playing Minecraft for a very long time.
My idea for the server if I win it would be to create it into a server based in the USA around westward expansion times, the reason I want to make a server like this is I have a love for history and have never seen a server revolving around the west. The idea is you would start off in Richmond, Virginia 1862, and then either chose the perilous journey to the west or try and make a living on the coast. If you chose the west you would have to make a walking journey across a custom made map of the United States, facing animals, wranglers, and whatever else is along the way of your journey. Once you got to the west you could either start a town (Cost about $100 in game money) or claim a private plot of land yourself to live on. You could become a cowboy, rancher, inventor, the world is yours to make. If you chose to stay in the east then you could do many things too, start up a fishing business, become a lawyer or business man.
I haven't came up with a lot of vip ranks yet, but if you did want to purchase then the prices would be like

Hey, here is my paragraph!
If you have ever been on mineplex.com (IP) then you will know how awesome mini games can be!
I can create an all mini games server that can cater to what the player wants!
I am able to be online for at least 3 hours per day (With exceptions).
Like Notchthederp, i am only 12, but i can tell that i have potential as i am learning Java to code custom plugins!
On a scale of maturity, i would rate myself 9.
I can have fun with my friends and play, but also be serious about the matter in hand.
I don't want to create an RPG/Faction/Survival/HungerGames/Pvp server because there are so many of them and there is no point...
1. There are amazing servers that do what is listed above.
2. It would be extremely hard to do well using a type of server above.

Mini games can be awesome!
1. You can have a quick game with your friends.
2. You can record for YouTube and it wont be a long boring video, as practically all the mini games will be action/suspense filled!

The reason I am asking you is because you are providing the only thing keeping me from hosting a big mini-game server. I am 16 years old and have fully built a mini-games server featuring different mini games such as TheBridges, TheWalls, Bowspleef, CallofMinecraft, Survival Games and Skyblock wars. I wish to keep my server mainly based on mini games and none of this other creative/survival sections. I am also planning to expand my mini-game server for more mini-games, but for now I just need to get the basic server running.
I also have a working rank and permissions system offering different ranks to those who wish to donate and contribute to help fund the server.

Hello, my nam and I am the 15 year old owner of the fun and exciting server called CakeCraft. CakeCraft has been public for about 3 months now but a lot went in to planning and preparing before we released it to the public. CakeCraft is a Factions, Raiding, Creative, and soon to be minigames server. I broke up the descriptive sections for your ease.
Factions
Whether you choose to become part of a faction, or go it alone, it is your choice. We do support a factions plugin so you and your friends can create a faction and battle against other factions by either stealing, raiding, griefing, or just plain attacking them. Climb your way to the top and become the best faction on the server and rule over those puny peasants. And remember, the more the merrier.

Raiding
To go along with factions, we allow... no... we encourage raiding other factions to earn loot and crush your opponents to dust. We have made it easier to grief by allowing players to open chests and furnaces in enemy territory and making obsidian explodable. Yup, that's right, obsidian is explodable and it only takes two hits to blow it up allowing for easier raiding when you are trying to get in to those pesky obsidian walled bases. Although, we prohibit water bases. (bases covered in water to render tnt useless) So, what are you waiting for by reading this? Go make a faction and dominate the rest of the server.

Creative
Show off your fantastic, amazing, extraordinary ideas and builds to the rest of the server through our creative world. If you are new to creative worlds, then what you do is you receive a plot, which on CakeCraft, is 75x75 blocks wide. And, what you do with that plot is completely up to you. You could build a palace, or maybe just test out some of your redstone ideas. Like I said, it is completely up to you. Finally, we do host some contests from time to time as well and you might earn some cash. Cha Ching!

Rank Up
One of our players favorite things on CakeCraft is the rank up system we have in place. As players earn money during their time on CakeCraft, they have the option to use that money to rank up and earn in game commands and perks to further enhance their experience. Some of these commands and perks include /nick and the ability to start an auction and even have your own stall at the market to sell items to other players. The price for each rank goes up as you get higher in the ranks, so you better start as soon as possible to become the richest and most respected player before someone else does.

Unlike the other posters in this thread, we have a more solid promise for success due to the fact that the server is already created and not just an idea. Hi! First off I wanted to say thank you for being so kind and generous as to do this. It's hard to find generous people doing kind things like this such as you.

I have been playing minecraft for around two years now and have longed since I started playing to own a large server. I have been staff on a few different servers and have helped built a couple, but because of this one annoying reason the have never stayed up.. Money! I have a group of close knit friends I have meet through playing on different servers, and we have always wanted to get a server going. We have talked about it all the time and have a great idea we are trying to work on currently. We want to make a factions rpg server with custom terrain (biomes and terrain) and quests. We want to have many different large scale quests, each with a unique storyline, to get awesome items, have an amazing experience, and to be able to play with friends in parties (group of friends can join one quest together). With the faction world you will be able to use your awesome loot, along with your RPG class to make for a unique pvp experience, where not everyone has all diamond max enchants, but you actually need to work as a team to win a fight. I love playing on minecraft servers but the thing that I find lacking on larger servers is the nice community. On the small servers its there and its great, but because of the money/RAM limitations the server population isnt large, thus making it for not an enjoyable experience for a long amount of time. I want to make a large server with this amazing community, by using plugins that make you feel that you need to work as a team, that staff are always at hand (with a custom staff help plugin), and that you can actually make friends! I don't want to make a minecraft server to get money, or to do it just to be the boss, I want to make an amazing minecraft server for my friends, and so lots of people (including my friends) can have fun. I'd also like to be able to open up at some point a Towny and Minigames server (maybe even pixelmon) so that way theres something to do for everyone. I am sorry if I was unclear as to why I think I deserve this server, and would not mind answering questions or talking to you about it at all I can provide contact information through a pm if you'd like. Hello my name is fisherdevon and im a ex server owner. I had a server but now its gone and I am lokking for a host. I am the age of 12 but im very mature and I have taken on the challenge of servers. My server was very good for a first server and it had 4 regulars that were nice. They have been waiting for me to get a new server. This server will be a survival server. I know those are common but I think I can make it good. Also if you would like you can be a co-owner. There will be donations which you can have but ill set up the donations packages. The pluggins will be essentials, factions, disguise craft, and more like stuff for minigames. The spawn will be a custom spawn by me. Im sorry I dont have more information. My name is Sam, and I am 12, but I feel I could really take on the task of a server.
The server I would like to have is mainly survival orientated, with towny to add a community, and a little RPG. PVP is off except in certain areas, because a lot of people get spawnkilled, attacked by people with OP swords etc. when they are new, which I find unfair, but I don't want to completely get rid of PVP.
I will find a building team for spawn, and they can build a spawn, I'm fine with finding and instructing them. Also, I hope to have a little range of minigames incase a player gets bored.
I don't plan on making it a big server, so I will keep everything to scale for the player amounts. Not too big, not too small.
In the towny world, I will designate 4 nation leaders, they are also admins. The nations will have towns, donators and staff can make towns. There will be tax for the town owner, so eConomy will also be added with chestshops, so people can easily get to where they want. The nations are rivalled to be the biggest, so town mayors need to be persuasive.
I will also get a plugin manager, someone who manages and installs plugins to the server. The plugin manager also gets a VIP++ rank.
The ranks for the server will be:
Nomad: Default rank.
Peasant: Costs 10 000 coins.
Low Class Citizen: Costs 20 000 coins.
Middle Class Citizen: Costs 40 000 coins.
High Class Citizen: Costs 75 000 coins.
Community Leader: Costs 100 000 coins.
Community Hero: Costs 180 000 coins.
Community Legend: Costs 300 000 coins.
Donor: £4.99
VIP: £9.99
VIP Extra: £12.99
VIP+: £16.99
VIP++: £19.99
(As server host, all profits will be given to you).
Each rank gives you more abilities. Nomads can sell dirt and cobble and join a town, thats it. Citizens can buy a house and sell stone and coal as well. Low Class can sell iron and wood and charcoal and leaves as well. And so on. Community people can be town assistants and get a free horse every month. Community Legends profit their town by 3000 coins a day. Donors get minigame advantages, can lead towns, earn additional money, each get more the higher the rank.

Thats just a few of the vast ideas I have for my (hopefully) server.

i would love a server but i can't because i can't think of a paragraph of good reasons why you should. If you where nice enough and had the money i would say a few GREAT games you might like. I don't expect that though form people these days :l, but you are being very nice and i hope somebody gets a server from you .
