[1.4.6 Dw20 FTB] FTB-TV [Whitelist] [RP] [40 slots] [13+]

GameMakerWorld.com presents FTB-TV, a roleplaying server using the Direwolf20 FTB modpack. The server owner SkyeRise will be posting regular episodes of server play in roleplaying style as well as special tutorial and player visit videos. You will appear on YouTube video and you are encouraged to make your own YouTube videos on the server, but there is no obligation of being a YouTuber to join FTB-TV.

The rules are simple:
* Treat the game world like it was a real world and stay in character
* Chat is radio communication and you always have a radio on you
* Keep your language appropriate for PG-13 audiences and act respectfully
* Griefing is forbidden, raiding is allowed if land is unprotected
* PvP is enabled but don't go around randomly attacking or murdering people
* Begging is a banning offense, so don't even start
* Do not use any additional client mods
* Post in the thread with your IGN, quoting another rule than the guy before you but mess it up in some funny way, to get whitelisted (!!!!!!)

What do we offer:
* A fast dedicated server and 40 slots with spare resources to expand
* Mysteries, adventures, secret recipes and communal building projects with the awesome Direwolf20 modpack
* A prank-friendly environment where you don't loose your items on death and creepers can't destroy your base
* Special events where the server is saved, all protection removed, and you can bring about Armageddon
* A skilled admin team that can create and maintain custom forge mods and will keep building more features for you

How to use the special features:
* Use /chunk claim and /chunk unclaim to claim and release chunks but make sure you really use them and keep a half chunk perimeter around your base to be safe from most grief
* Use /chunk add <name> and /chunk remove <name> to add to/remove from the list of people who may fully use a chunk that belongs to you
* Find out about the ever changing secret recipes that usually include redstone on your own

What we offer to donators:
* Receive your own fully custom Mystcraft world, made especially for you
* Be able to claim 100 chunks instead of the 20 everybody else can use
* Get a pair of long fall boots that make fall damage a thing of the past
* Get your very own portal gun, provided you have gathered a nether star, too
* Receive training sessions from the admin team to learn how to use the mods

The things we had to change or nerf:
* Thaumcraft research got rebalanced to be slightly easier and more rewarding
* Industrialcraft terraformer modules, mining laser, nano suit and nano armor will vanish on you when crafted(!!) to prevent grief or unbalancing of the game, but you can freely use jetpacks
* Buildcraft builders, fillers and architects are removed along with landmarks and pathmarks, but you can use quarries (most servers block those)
* Railcraft chunk loaders may be used freely but the cost of running the world anchor is now 1 ender pearl per hour; the personal anchor is only 1 ender pearl per 4 hours though
* Mystcraft link modifier and notebook have been removed, but you can freely make linking books and create crystal out of diamonds/quartz and glowstone blocks (shapeless recipe)
* Thaumcraft Wand of Excavation has been added to list of items that vanish since it can override protection
* You can use most Computercraft turtles except for digger, miner and feller which are dangerous to protection areas

Donations are not yet possible, but should be up in a week or two. Buy SkyeRise a new microphone, his current one sucks! Or if you are really generous, you can help get the server to where it can run with 32GB of RAM and host more than 100 people.

We are also still working on the new design for the GameMakerWorld.com page for the server (and the whole portal as well), so this really is an early release state. All the bits and bangles are on though. Just give it a shot and enjoy!
