If you somehow mysteriously landed into this thread, then I welcome you with open arms. Havenquest is a small RPG Adventure server where you can live in the realm of Esparia. Here you can do errands for the citizens of Esparia, raid the most fearsome of dungeons, hunt the most infamous bandits, or live a peaceful life either in solitude or with other players. But be warned, for the lands of Esparia are not to be underestimated as there are monsters around every corner and powerful threats rise to attempt to bring downfall upon the land! Now don't worry, I'm not asking you to save the world or anything of the sort. But remember, the land will begin to suffer the consequences if it isn't protected...
Now don't fret, the rules have been simplified just for you because I know you are all busy ladies and gentlemen and don't want to read a long list of rules. But if you do, you can do it right here and have a higher chance of not breaking any. So, let us get started!
First of all, no griefing of anything that isn't yours... A-n-y-t-h-i-n-g. See? I even spelt the word out for you! We have zero tolerance for griefers, sorry for the rudeness but we don't like it when people break our nice things.
Next rule is be respectful meaning: No swearing, being racist and respect the moderators... yes, definately respect them, otherwise they'll cut your tongue and do even harsher things if you get on their nerves by being a rule-breaker.
Third, you can PvP out in the open but remember, don't spawnkill... otherwise you will be instantly murdered at the spawn by the hands of some other worldly being.
Fourth, this is a roleplay server, so you'll need a character. You may not be a god! That's blasphemy first of all... and no breaking the fourth wall because I've had to fix it a thousand times already.
Fourth, No mobgrinders, it just ruins the point of adventuring... and that ruins the point of our server.
Fifth, please do not spam or use all caps! The universe doesn't revolve around you now does it?
Sixth, Do not use hacks, Xray, or game breaking mods, otherwise you will be banned without warning.
That's all for rules! Follow them, and we won't have to hunt you down!
This server has NPC quests and at the moment there is only a handful of them, please be patient, we'll try our best to make more for you to find and complete! This server is also on hard mode and also has a ghost system. This means that if you die, you turn into a ghost for some time, and you'll also drop your gold. There are also dungeons here which you can loot at will, but please note that if a dungeon isn't protected, then that still doesn't mean you can grief it. Doing so will result in severe consequences. Also, I'm sorry if you hate our buildings, the server is rather old and it has a small community. Our newer buildings look much better than earlier ones. Anyone else who claims to be a Moderator is an impersonator. Anyone who claims to be an admin is also fake. And another thing I would like to add is: Please do not beg for a position as the staff... It will not end well. Also, please keep in mind that this is NOT a 24/7 server since I do not have the money to buy a server host. So therefore if you experience lag, you can blame me and my computer. :3
Here are some tips that can help you get started!
1. Get the starter kit on Tutorial Isle, just right click the sign on the pillar next to the Bank, it will help you... quite a lot.
2. Do not go outside at night when you've only just joined the community, you will die, I can guarantee that.
3.Don't start murdering each other randomly, this will cause you to be marked with Criminal status and people can place bounties on you.
4. You can earn money from quests, hunting, trading, and bounties.
5. Don't go into a dungeon alone... Please...
6. Don't ask for Teleports... There is noone who can grant that request.
