I have gone through 826,438 tutorials and all I've learned about making a Minecraft server is one thing:

If you to wanna make a Minecraft server,its actully preety simple.
1:Pay 20 dollars.
2:Wait a month/year.
3:Repeat!
Creating a Minecraft server for free? NOPE! Thats incredibly IMPOSSIBLE! You can try,but it will never work! It will always display the same exact message:

You admitted you didn't know how to set it up. End of discussion.
Sir, Notch made the game so that you can self/home host servers. It's implemented in the game. I'm sorry that people think lowly of you for not knowing how to set up a server but I believe it is due to the fact that you are making up stuff. Fir example, you said home hosting servers is impossible but in fact it isn't.
I ment its impossible to do it for free AND make it work.
It is possible though...
If it was possible,

I have watched tutorials. Many tutorials. And for some strange reason,I always get stuck on the part where they tell me to put my ip into the web browser

Everyone just face it. There will never be a way to setup a server for free. Yes I know. Im sad too. But its just the way Notch coded the game.
You really are an idiot. everyone almost home host's there server which involves portforwarding stop complaining because you don't know the password

Have you port forwarded? If not then you got your answer.

No one cares, and we all know that you didn't count out exactly how many tutorials you went through.
Hosting a server is actually extremely simple, and you have to be pretty damn stupid to not correctly set one up.
