Hey Everyone! Come check out the McMonarch Towny / Survival server today! We have plenty to offer everyone, including a Freebuild world for those who do not want restrictions on building, with anti-grief protection, and also a Towny world with the Towny plugin, allowing you to create and build your own city with friends!

Glad you are enjoying it We are currently working on updating the spawn, adding a whole new mini games server, and creating a cleaner/sharper look for the server! Should be up by the end of this weekend

Huh. I posted about how the monarch bribes people to blindly vote for their servers, bribes people to even bump this forum thread blindly, acts like a dictatorship, has a donation store which is Pay2Win and isn't really donating (Only called donating to avoid legal technicalities,) censors free speech, unbans some players 12 times- others never, extremely hesitant to demote moderators (They get three lives before they are banned,) and that kissing the very ground the staff walk on is the only way to get "In with the cool kids" and my post was actually removed by a moderator as my post was "Likely to erupt a flame war."
Well, I would just like to state that I have no intention of erupting a flame war- merely warn other players of this server. This is a forum for telling people about the server- is it not? Is 'positive reviews only' a new rule here?

I am extremely thankful for you bringing this to the attention of others, and grateful that you have taken the time to express yourself! I'd like to bring up a couple points and responses to this post in attempts to shed some new light on your point of view! Our voting system actually is not intended on bribes to players, votes are almost a nessecity for a server to grow, because of which it brings new players, and wonderful people to our highly complex community. So, to be thankful towards the people who do vote, we do have a reward system! Daily votes get a small amount of in game currency and a couple diamonds, not enough to be "OP" for the economy, but merely enough to show appreciation! As the top donators, which vote every day of the month, are shown a slightly greater prize of a gift coupon to the donator store
Now to touch on your point about staff, or otherwise stated as "The Cool kids club", when we review the applications we often have a criteria we look for, I always start with age, preferably, age reflects the most upon someones decision making as well their ability to work towards a solution with others. The 30 year old Husband, will often be much cooler in situations then the 16 year old football player, and because of this most people are cut right away. Then I often review their mod application to hopefully get a sense of who they are and what they do from a day to day, as well as talk to them in game or through our website (McMonarch.enjin.com) to again gain a understanding of who they actually are! This is why most people feel our staff is picked through favouritism, when actually it's simply because we do not feel that a position of such power within our community, should be given to someone we don't fully trust or get along with. It's a choice of security, and trusting a friend with our belongings, the downfall again is, people we don't get along with, unfortunately sometimes miss their "shot" at proving themselves, but this is a risk we are willing to take to protect our players and community through possible issues that could arise.
You have also stated that a moderated has removed your post because it was "Likely to erupt a flame war.", I'd like to question this fact because just about every member of the community knows that mods do not actually have the ability to remove forum post, or even edit the forums in any way. Which would only leave an admin to have intervened with your post, in which we have a very strict guide line when it comes to controlling the forum. Post that are targeted at a player in hopes of attacking their creditability or character are often to removed to simply protect that person, if these facts in turn are true, the post is normally still removed, but we deal with these issues privately in a conversation help between the player and a staff member. Some issues involve the public, but most are handled in private and put to rest, problems are not gossip nor are they entertainment for the public, this is why we do this. We also remove any type of discrimination or banter! The forums is a family friendly place for younger players, intact the staff that do have children, all play and enjoy the server as a family based place welcome to all!
With your post earlier on page one, being rather subjective about communist Russia and other dictator jokes, and also attacking several players... I truly have a hard time believing your post was removed for "unjust" reasons.. but I guess If you do believe your post was unfairly removed, people are not perfect and often make mistakes, you are more then welcome to bring anything to my attention through a private message on the site, or even through planet minecraft if you'd prefer to be kept anonymous
Regardless, if you have the time of course, I look forward to more replies from you in possibly a constructive criticism way so that we can both look towards a solution and solve a couple problems in attempts to make this server greater Have a nice day!

As for the favouritism, I was more referring to how (Admittedly, I have never seen you do this personally) normal players receive special treatment from staff because they worship the ground they walk on (Sucking up, would be a blunter term). In my time, I've seen players being unbanned for some reasons, but other players not being unbanned for the same reasons. I've seen players getting about 12 "stern warnings" and others getting none before being banned. There's a huge lack of consistency
I shan't name anybody, but I have seen the most hilarious ban reasons I have seen on any server. There was a case where a moderator told a player that they were allowed to do something- then the player got banned for doing it and the person in control of the ban would not allow any responsibility to fall on the moderator at all.
I can name three people who have been unbanned more than once for "hacking." I can only name three, as 99% of players get perma'd for "hacking" either first time or after one unban. One of those players even got unbanned after being banned three times (Two of which were hacking)
The amount of times I have seen staff be rude to players is uncanny. I understand that "The staff are not there to be nice." But being mean is... rude. (Couldn't think of a better word, but you understand my point) I would like to stress that this is not all staff. Some of the staff are lovely, helpful and fun (But why aren't they all?)
Many people were really nice and helpful, but they ended up corrupting after they got mod. They enter a new friendship group with all the staff and began to stop caring about the players. A few of the mods I see are online about once a week, does a modreq if they feel like it (rarely), ignores almost everyone and only received moderator as they were adults with jobs,
There is a case with one mod (Will not name them) but they cherished the air that the staff breathed, donated wagons of money. got into the exclusive staff friendship circle, started getting special treatment, got mod and now is still currently loved by every staff member, But they act different to players.
In TS, there used to be a moderator only room (Not sure if it still exists.) But it ended up just turning into a "Mods and people the moderators like's room" as players were receiving special treatment over others. And this happens ingame as well. Although there is no mod room in game, there is still an exclusive friendship group of staff members and staff worshippers in which people can receive plenty of favouritism- and I guess there is a good chance you would not notice, Colio. As I'm sure you're busy with your life. This exclusive group is what I was referring to when I mentioned "Cool kids Club."
As for your voting system, I would say monthly 'donation' store coupons is very close to bribery. What % of people are really voting for your server because they want to?
Surely people should vote for a server because they like the server- not for freebies.

A lot of the issues seem to be that we have no consistancy with the staff.. In the past I've basically told them its a jusgment call and they could make their own choices and I see where this can cause confusion as well as, well.. In consistancy xD

Surely you can see why I prefer having my close friends as staff because they are people I trust and talk to on a day to

When I get a chance to sit down I'll try and type out a detailed governing post for mods.. Try and regulate things a little more so we don't have these problems.
If you want your voice to be heard, and changes to made.. Or you have an issue with a ban, don't hesitate to bring it to my attention in a 1 on 1.. I'm perfectly happy to explain my desisions or look into things for you, but you actually have to be the one to bring it forward. What I highlighted sounds like you don't want the public to know what he has to say.
I personally just enjoy 1 on 1's more. Its what i do for a living and its more a comfort zone then anything were anything can be said.. As you can see on this forum, I'm more then happy to deal with issues in a public manner, but again i just prefer the 1 on 1 setting is all

Great server been playing it for over a year now just recently there was a nightmare event which was exciting.Minigames has recently opened aswell and all the staff are friendly and helpful

I'd rate it 15/10 - Great server, if you havnt joined... You're missing out
Adding on to my post the other day, it's a great server, as you can see from my signature I've been playing for over a year now, and it's an absolutely brilliant server! Great community, Great builds, decent website (<3 Dezolord) and not to be biased, great staff! It has a big freebuild world with either Worldguard or Protection Stones to protect your land, a big Towny world to either make your own town or join one of the big ones like Firenze, Rekel_rebellion and New Craft City. It also has a Minigames server with games such as Infected and Ship Wars! So yeah, 10/10 would play again ;D

I've been playing this server for over 2 years now, And its still as fun as it was the first time I joined. The community is amazing, staff are helpful, We have a nice spawn and loads of towns. If you havnt joined you're missing out on alot of fun, Not to mention the Prison being added in the near future! 10/10

Couldn't have said this better myself... except I've only been on for around a year and 3 quarters but yea, I'd give it 15/10 tho I've loved it since I joined and never even had a thought about leaving the amazing community, let alone the server

Just hopefully... especially with the drop party reaching 48 players I guess the server is growing went for a whole 1 hour and 20 mins and Cole even dropped 2 special items!
