Map Maker / Redstone Genius needed ASAP!

Hey, guys its me SheheryaB here. So let me just get to it, me and my friend are supposed to be releasing our adventure map in like about 3 days and were stuck. We need help with where they spawn and the checkpoints and stuff. For the checkpoints, we made a button leading to a command block with the command "spawnpoint @p" and when you die, you would expect to spawn there, but it says "Your home bed was missing or obstructed". So if anyone could help, leave your skype down below (Must Have skype) and we'll skype ASAP. You will also get some credit for the map.
