Need help with Beta testing of server!
Best way I can describe my server is to paste my web info. Testing that I need is mostly to have a few players playing and exploring all aspects of the game as described below. Thank you for your time!

First things first!
When you join the server you won't be met with any rules or how to's. You have to get that from here. You will spawn first in the Lobby. It is huge so i have made it easy to find the Shaman Forest portal. So when you go in that portal, the first thing you need to do is set up your locker. I will explain in more detail about lockers later, but for now, find the locker room. It is down the stairs at the end of the warp hall. Where is the warp hall? Right outside the spawn building door. Where is spawn building? Let someone know you are obviously a complete newb and they should be gleeful to help! Once in the locker room notice all of the chests and hoppers. Chose any hopper in the room and place a chest on top of it. Next look very closely at which chest that hopper feeds into. Place a sign on that chest and type [CL]. This will command the sign to protect that chest from anyone else opening it. USE ONLY ONE CHEST!!! Let’s recap...
Find locker room
Find one available hopper
Place chest on that hopper
Place sign on chest fed by that hopper with [CL] on it. (Most likely the chest to the right if you are facing the front of the chest)
Now you can go mine and build and be magical. The Shaman Mountain region the spawn is located in is huge. You have to walk till you see, "Leaving Shaman Mountain" pop up in your chat. Then you can build and break to your hearts content.
Donations!
Of course if you are willing to share your financial abundance with me, I won't be upset! This is what the locker room is for! On the top of this site is a button that says "packages". Chose a package and make your donation. What will happen is whatever package you chose, that item will be sent to all the chests that players have placed in the locker room. In other words, when you make a donation, you have gifted all the players currently white listed on that server with that item. IF YOU ARE THE ONE BENEFITING FROM ANOTHER'S DONATION, PLEASE SHOW APPRECIATION TO THE DONOR IN SOME FORM. Two reason's it is set up this way... Firstly, I don't like that people with money are able to enjoy a game more than those without money or those too young to have access to credit cards or their own money. Second, it keeps the server EULA compliant. I hope this means that all players will have more fun with a community type of attitude to build a beautiful world! Periodically check your locker to see if you have received items from other player’s generosity.
Let's set up shop!
Find the perfect location to build your store. Set a chest. Hold item you wish to sell in your hand and hold "shift" and left click the chest. It will ask you to type the price in chat. Type "t" to open chat and enter the amount you with to charge for one of the item you are holding. A sign will appear on the chest with details. Fill the chest inventory with however many of that item you wish to sell. Hold "shift" and right click the sign and it should update the selling # line. Go gangbusters!
How magic wands work!
A magic wand can be crafted by placing a nether star over a blaze rod either in a crafting table or your personal 4 X 4 crafting matrix. This will yield a golden sword that will appear enchanted. When you first craft your wand, it may or may not have spells on it. To place spell and to get more spells, you must place your wand on an enchanting table. There are two things you will gain one or both of each time you enchant your wand.... Spells, obviously, and perks that make you stronger! You can have up to at least 60 spells on your wand! To use the wand, hold it in your hand and right click. This will bring up an inventory GUI. If you have a lot of spells, you will likely need to left click anywhere outside of the inventory box to change pages. Select any spell you wish to use with your wand. If you have two wands, you can use an anvil to combine them together. You can also name your wand. You may also feel it more strategic to have two or more wands so that switching to your next spell will be easier. Remember! If you drop your wand and a mob picks it up, it will be worthless forever. With great power comes great responsibility.
Duels!
Comradery is very important in Shaman Forest. But developing your magic dueling skills are even more important. There is one dueling arena which I will tell you how to use in a moment. But for now, a few house rules... You may duel anywhere on the map as long as you are not disrupting other player’s peace. When you duel, you are dueling not only for kills to rank up, but also for pink slips! Meaning, once your opponent is dead, you have won all their items INCLUDING THIER WAND!!! When you duel, you will be wise to duel with someone close to your rank. NO SENSLESS KILLING! Challenge your opponent to a duel by offering them boots. Then chat "I challenge you to a duel!" There is no plugin functionality to this. It is simply an etiquette that keeps things clear. They can accept your challenge and you both agree on a place or they can deny, in which case you should allow this player to continue on their peaceful day.
Using the arena!
The Shaman Arena is a beautiful arena, (built by me) for players to have official plugin guided duels. To play in the arena, type /pa shamanarena. You will be directed to one of the two player lobbies, red or blue. Your inventory will disappear. Left click or punch the sign that says "Custom", then your inventory will go back to what you had before you entered the lobby. Then left click the iron block to mark yourself as "ready". Once both players have punched the iron block, you will be directed into the arena and the battle will immediatly begin. If at any time you have to leave the arena, type /pa leave. Once you have defeated your opponent, you will be given ample time (40 seconds) to collect your winnings before being escorted back out to the world. Remember! Lightning will destroy dropped items! If you are of a rank with the ability to use /lightning command, don't be upset if your opponent’s wand is banished from existence because you wanna be like Thor! Also! TNT block damage is turned off. Many spells use explosions. Have a blast! (derp)
Dragon eggs!
My favorite part of this server is the dragon egg plugin. As per Shaman Forest ranking, only a Lord can set a dragon egg, but anyone can conjure the dragon. To do so, find a dragon egg either placed by game or by a Lord (make sure you have permission, I don't recommend taking a Lord's dragon) and with an ender eye, right click the egg. Viola! Your dragon is now trying to kill you (or your opponent if you feel like playing dirty). If you have the "mount" spell in your wand (it's the saddle icon on the GUI) select it and cast it at your dragon. You will be riding a dragon! When I find a plugin that allows you to control the flight of your dragon, I will update to that one. You probably should not leave the game without killing your dragon. Kill your dragon when you are done. It will drop an egg so you still have your dragon. And... dragon eggs can be crafted!
ATMs!
Gold is worth $25, well, if you make a deposit at the ATM. The sign on the ATM has three selections; Balance, Deposit, and Withdrawal. Left click to scroll through these selections. You can check your balance at the ATM or use the command /bal. To make a deposit, hold the gold ingots in your hand you wish to get paid for, make sure the sign has "Deposit" selected and right click. To make a withdrawal, select withdrawal and then right click until you have as many gold ingots as you want or you run out of inventory space or money. This server is completely loaded with ore. It won't take long to get rich! Fo realz!
How to earn ranks!
When you join Shaman Forest you will be considered a Traveler. To earn promotions into more prestigious ranks, you must duel with other members to earn kills and you must accrue time on the server. Below are the details of each rank.
Traveler: Default rank when you join
Villager: 1 hour, 5 kills
Apprentice: 5 hours, 10 kills
Conjurer: 10 hours, 20 kills
Enchanter: 15 hours, 30 kills
Sorcerer: 1 day, 45 kills
Warlock: 2 days, 60 kills
Master: 3 days, 80 kills
Lord: 5 days, 100 kills
Mage: Can only be appointed by the Shaman. Mages are the admins and security force of Shaman Forest
Princess: That's my daughter. There will only ever be one unless I have another daughter.
Be mindful, you can accrue kills at any time since pvp is allowed in all places of Shaman Forest. You may use the dueling arena if you wish, or anyplace in the world you chose. There are two golden rules! Be respectful of other player's space when dueling. Take the fight to somewhere obscure. Do not worry if things get out of hand, block damage is turned off. The other rule.... REQUEST THE DUEL!!! Do not kill another member without offering a challenge first! Sportsman-ship is paramount! Otherwise, all possible ways to kill your opponent are fair game. Creativity is your friend. Think outside the block.
Rank rewards
Each rank comes with its perks! As you acquire a rank you keep all the perks from the ranks prior. Here are a list of commands and perks earned with each rank.
Traveler (default commands and perks just for joining)
ability to use warp signs
ability to set warps
ability to use ATMs
ability to set up shops
use /spawn and /home commands
set multiple homes
send global or private messages
use /recipe command
use /tpa to request teleport to a comrade
use /bal to check balance
request "More Potions" recipe (remind me to elaborate on this. Only certain ranks can use potions from the "More Potions" plugin. However, a lower rank can still brew and sell them for higher ranks to use!
type "[CL]" on a sign to lock a chest.
Villager
use /hat command to wear whatever is in your hand as a hat. Exhilarating I know, but seriously, you have only played for an hour and won 5 duels. Don't expect a dragon too soon. 8*)
throw an egg at a chicken to catch the chicken. The regular egg turns into a chicken spawn egg. Much better than using a leash.
Apprentice
use /workbench command. Now you never have to build one for the sake of making a pick axe.
throw a regular egg at a sheep. It will capture the sheep and drop a sheep spawn egg. baaaaah.
Conjurer
use /jump command
catch a zombie with an egg
use a "more potion" jump potion (sorry for the redundancy, surely this will come in handy somehow. maybe better than typing it in, who doesn't love options.)
Enchanter
use /enderchest command. No more running out of inventory!
catch skeletons and cows with eggs
use "More Potions" fast digging potion
Sorcerer
use /fireball command
catch slime with egg
use "More Potions" slow digging potion. (a wee little bit of light grieving can't hurt right?)
Master (ok, this is where it starts to get fun)
use /speed command to change your walk speed
catch spider with egg (maybe not a cave spider, not sure, let me know)
use "More Potions" water breathing and damage resistance potions
Warlock
use /weather command to change weather
use /skull modify to change a skull to any skull or player's skull you wish (got a rival? Tell 'em by placing their head on a post.)
use egg to catch an ocelot, witch, squid, or pig zombie
use "More Potions" hunger, saturation, and confusion potions
Lord (this is what you have worked sooo hard for. Enjoy!)
use /fly command
use /vanish command
use /repair command ( I know, I’m spoiling you)
use /lightning command
use egg to catch horse, enderman, blaze, villager, ghast, mushroomcow, and magma cube
use "More Potions" health boost, blindness, absorption, and wither potions
ability to place a dragon egg (no other rank lower can place a dragon egg. If I am not mistaken, and you feel generous, you can place the egg and allow another lower ranking player to conjure the dragon. If you are not feeling generous you may sell them the egg and place it for them. Your gig my friend, I'm just here to show you the possibilities. Also, in order to rid yourself of the dragon, you have to kill it and recollect the egg.
Hints 'n' other stuff
Cauldrons can be used as an infinite water source. Use a bucket to place water in the cauldron. Then you can get as many buckets of water from it as you like.
Are you days away from becoming a Lord of Shaman Forest and have crafted dragon eggs? It's ok. Keep 'em till you can place 'em. Give 'em to a Lord as an offering! Remember, they can repair anything. Hint hint. Or just sell it in your store.
Want to earn a nether star by donating but don't have money to do so? Ask if any members on the server want to donate. In exchange you can offer them work on the server or items from your inventory.
