I am looking to make or help join a server, preferably make one, but I cannot get Java 7. Is there a way i can make a multiplayer server without Java 7? Or could someone set a server up for me?
Oh and my idea is to make a heavily modded world, as I have noticed that there aren't any non-animal mobs that have specific biomes. I want to make biomes have specific mobs, e.g swamp biomes are infested with swamp monsters...
If you know how to setup the server without Java 7 but can't setup for me please state how to below...
I also need modders that have at least a basic knowledge to help out and builders and friends as I am relatively new to minecraft. Also an artist would be useful?
One quick question... How can I create a mod on 1.7.4, as all modding software seems to be for earlier versions?

if you can't install java 7 i really don't think you should be owning a server let alone a highly modded one

Ok, but the theme of this is mob and desert orientated, but you can take charge from there.
Forgive me if this sounds selfish but it would help me if i could be incharge, or co incharge of the building of cities so that stuff would be easier to sort out.

Do you want help building? Me and a friend would love to help build villages, towns, or cities around the map. It would be me and another friend. If you want to know our usernames its kat512 and elijahchu. He and I are able to build modern to medieval to anything. We would be happy to help
Great, you would need to build things like villages in the desert, but with a western twist, like saloons and things like that, once the server is up and running I shall discuss that with you...

Good, i do have textures of things like emerald daggers and special armour and textures for about 50 different mobs, so i could send them to you tomorrow, but it would have to be via e-mail...

Fly, I made a harness texture (because red wolves and coyotes are more wild) I will be sending a .zip file with all textures soon.

i just tested a jar for 1.7.4, it appears to work.
Also adding tamed textures for Coyote and Red wolf ^_^
Oh if you could retexture villagers with a lot better clothing, more suitable for the west...
